At Trackwise our goal is to preserve, restore, and reproduce audio materials for future generations to enjoy. With our extensive and sophisticated system of equipment, at Trackwise, we are able to restore damaged or poorly recorded audio so that the integrity of the sound you want is there while deleting all the background noise. We can easily transfer from almost any form of audio to today’s high-fidelity digital file.
What is audio preservation? Audio preservation is the transfer and storage of audio on a new medium in order to preserve the audio for the future.
What is restoration? The goal of restoration is to improve the program material in order to increase its sound for a specific purpose.
Why do I need to think about preserving for the future? Traditional recording media is basically unstable over time and will deteriorate. Also there is no guarantee that the format that the original is stored on will be available for playback in the future. Think about it — many of today’s youth have never seen a record, and soon with the opportunity to download directly to your computer, IPOD, Blackberry, and so on — the next generation may never know what a CD is! Planning for the future now is the best way to make sure your recording will last.
